Progress Test in Maths

The PTM (tested in years 1-6) is a diagnostic assessment of your child’s level based on the full Year’s curriculum for Maths.

Progress Test in Maths (PTM) is a series of age-appropriate tests for teachers to use every year to ensure that pupils are making and maintaining good progress in mathematics. It will allow you to quickly and effectively highlight your child’s strengths and weaknesses, so you know which areas to focus on.

 

Each test assesses and provides a reliable test of children’s attainment in the core maths skills and knowledge together with the key process skills of fluency, mathematical reasoning and problem solving.

Progress Test in English

The PTE (tested in years 1-6) is a diagnostic assessment of your child’s level based on the full Year’s curriculum for English.

 

This Progress Practice Test covers the full UK National Curriculum Syllabus for Year 1-6 in English.

 

It will allow you to quickly and effectively highlight your child’s strengths and weaknesses, so you know which areas to focus on.  It provides a reliable test of children’s attainment in the core English skills: phonics, reading, spelling, grammar, punctuation and comprehension.

CAT4 (Cognitive Ability Test)

The Cognitive Abilities Test (CAT4) is an assessment of developed abilities in areas known to make a difference to learning and achievement – namely verbal, non-verbal, quantitative and spatial reasoning – and provides you with an accurate analysis of potential student achievement.

Dylexia

This diagnosis test is an initial assessment to see how far a pupil’s abilities and skills match those of people who have been found to have dyslexia. It comprises six tests covering three areas ( two assessments for each): ability, attainment and diagnostic.

NGRT/NGST

A standardised, adaptive, termly assessment to measure reading and spelling skills against the national average. TThese results are used to identify where intervention may be needed, and then to monitor impact and progress made.
